If you are hunting around for a photo booth to rent for your Wedding Reception or any other special event, you’ll have spotted that there are presently 2 significantly dissimilar types available. There’s the standard traditional style booth, with a bench, a roof and privacy curtains.

But there’s also a new open design photograph booth. The open layout booth ditches the classic boxed look, in favour of just having a camera facing a background. Both these configurations have their benefits and drawbacks. The open booths have average benefits.

First, bigger group shots. As there isn’t a restricting small box for your visitors to climb into, you can often squeeze up to ten folk in a group shot. Giant group shots can sometimes be more fun to take, and create better photographic memories. Second , the fun is kept out in the open so everybody can see and take part. The laughter made by ten folks attempting to squeeze into a group shot is positively transmittable. Open booths are usually far easier to move and can sometimes go where traditional style booths can’t. The second floor of a building with no lift, for instance.

The trade off is that the open design does not look anything like a conventional photograph booth. Actually it is not a photo booth at all, although they call it one. They’re also not commended for out of doors events in the daylight, unless arrangements are made to block out the daylight. Photographs will be inconsistent during the day, and some pictures may look awfully bad if full-on sunlight is shining on the subjects.

There’s still something worth saying for the more traditional style of photobooths. Some of the people just like the nostalgia of a real booth. There isn’t any mistaking the signature look of an enclosed booth with privacy curtains. Oh, and about those curtains, if you believe some of your visitors would like to pose au natural after 1 or 2 libations, then the enclosed colonnade booth is surely for you! People tend to relax more and let loose when they can close a curtain and have some privacy. Classic booths may also be a wiser choice if there are space concerns, as they’ve a far littler footprint than the area taken up by an open style photograph booth. The traditional style booth is extremely advocated for outside events when daylight might be a factor. Since they’re enclosed, there’s a much more managed environment to take consistent stills for the length of the event. Also these booths are more abdapt to having the latest new technology, including live video recording. Some booths will be offering your visitors the choice to record a quick video for the honored guest after they have taken their pictures. This is what the videographers used to go table to table to do. But doing the video in the booth affords the guest some privacy, and since it is optional, nobody is put on the spot and made to feel awkward.

The drawback of the video photograph booth is that it might take longer to get guests out of and into the booth. It is generally recommended that if you hire a photograph booth with video capacity, you reserve it for a longer time period than you would a regular photograph booth.

You would like all of your guests to have the chance to use the booth. Some sellers will also hire you a second booth for your event at a serious discount since 2 booths side-by-side will generally still only need the watchful eyes of one attendant. Which ever style you choose, shop one or two corporations. Try and base your call on the entertainment value the booth will supply to your event. Be certain to check with your locale too. Most catering executives have seen photograph booths in their location and they might have some thoughts about what is best for their particular location.

To be honest, the only real advantage I see in having an open style photo booth over a classic style booth is if you want your guests to take large group pictures, but in my opinion, that just isn’t enough. But do your research and see what’s best for you.
